Success
Success I wonder what it is?
Is it the desire to be free?
Is it the feeling of being important?
Is it getting what you wanted?
Success for sure cannot be any of these things it is something beyond I pondered over it ,studied many lives around me and I feel that it is just a desire to accomplish something but once that something is accomplished we find another such desire and so to succeed is an ever lasting affair. And ironically we never succeed.
I am amazed by one thing which is the cost that we pay to succeed also wonder is it worth it?
The society today is divided over many such things like women empowernment, liberation etc.
I but genuinely feel that we as a society are headed in the wrong way. The focus should be on liberating minds of poor thinking not just liberating women physically because if they do not know how to deal with the new found freedom then we as a society are headed for trouble. I was amazed to see a young mother leave her family and kids as all of a sudden she found financial freedom through government run Vocational training for women programme and she no longer wanted to sacrifice anything for her family. She found freedom and independence but I started thinking to myself is this what we want to achieve by our liberation programmers. I don’t think so. We should really empower the mind first and then the freedom. I wonder about the plight of the little ones and the family.
Men who have the financial freedom but do not really know how to deal with it become addicts and think that just because they have financial independence they can behave in any way they want to. How many lives have been spoiled by such men and women I wonder when we as society will wake up and learn to distribute power judiciously?
Power is a fatal thing?
Would you call someone successful just because they succeeded in amassing wealth but in the mean while have no families and are isolated broken into fragments. Nothing left in them as a human being. I call such people beggars of wealth.
Success is not the triumph over regress,
Success is the power to suppress.
Success is not the money or the fame,
Success is, knowing you are still the same.
Success is not the power or the pride.
Success is the knowing how to hide.
Success is not a gift or gain,
Success is accepting and believing in your name.
Success is not a point or goal to seek,
Success is, believing you have never reached the peak.

Well said. What really is lacking is the thought process and the if we start blaming who are responsible for it, then the list will be long. Right from the education system to the social structure, everyone is charged of guilty.
ReplyDeleteAnd encouraging people to start thinking will be the best way to put wheel into motion..
