Would you love me?
If I can think reason and dream
If I speak my mind out,
seek my reveries
decline to die
for love
If I explicitly say no,
when I don't want to be disturbed
while following my dreams.
If I refuse to give up,
my aspirations and choose
to carry on living.
If I choose to
acknowledge my being
fulfilling my potential
creating an identity more
then being a man's lady
Will it be possible to love,
a woman who is free
and capable of
expressing her needs.
Away from the
bondage of
paternity.
Why becoming
a mother and a wife
has to mean
so demeaning damaging?
Undoubtedly you will love me not
If I learn to love me more than anything!

“We still think of a powerful man as a born leader and a powerful woman as an anomaly.”
“...sitting and waiting is one of the most miserable occupations known to man - not that it usually is known to men; women do it much more often.”
